What changes the price
Material and category of work (asbestos cement, textured coating or lagging), size of the area, working height, access for scaffold and skips, whether sheets are intact or broken, and distance to the disposal site.
Garages and sheds
The most common jobs. Single garages are often a one or two day job. Double garages, sectional garages and roofs with difficult access cost more because of scaffold and time.
Ceilings and interiors
Artex and textured coatings are priced by area and number of rooms, plus enclosure set-up and clean-down. Testing the coating first avoids paying for removal you do not need.
Lagging, boilers and insulation board
These are usually licensed works and cost more because of notification, enclosures and air testing.
Farms, schools and commercial
Priced by area, height and phasing. Large roofs need scaffold or mobile platforms and larger waste volumes. A site assessment or survey usually comes first.
How to get an accurate quote
Send clear photos of the whole roof and close-ups of the sheets, plus the approximate size. Ask for a written quote that lists what is included: scaffold, removal, waste carriage, disposal and any new roof. Our prices page shows typical ranges once contractors confirm them.
